Grant Description:

The Career Center at FHS would like to be the single point of access for students who seek part time employment during the school year, want summer employment between school years, and those students who want to begin a pre-apprenticeship experience that may lead into full time certified apprenticeship employment following high school graduation. The Career Center is partnering with the Department of Labor’s Kalispell Job Service and Registered Apprenticeship Program to offer employment seeking services on site at FHS through what will be called the Employment Services Office Demonstration Project. These services will include developing job seeking skills; completing employment applications; accessing pre-apprenticeship employment sites in the area; and developing positive relationships with Flathead Valley employers through the establishment of a FHS Employment Services Office. This grant will provide the necessary technology and equipment to make the project possible.
