The KEF added a new scholarship award honoring those students who had participated in An Evening of Fine Arts during their high school careers. Jhalen Salazar was this year’s first FHS award recipient as presented to him by teacher Valeri McGarvey. Jasmyn Burdsall was the recipient at GHS. Link to video below:
Jasmyn Burdsall was the first ever recipient of the Kalispell Education Foundation’s An Evening of Fine Arts award at the senior’s ceremony at Glacier High School Wednesday evening (5/21/14). Using 20 new Kindles supplied by a Kalispell Education Foundation Great Opportunities Grant, over 20 He-Man book club students from Flathead High School met with kindergarten and first grade students to read stories. The student’s used both traditional hardcover books and their new Kindles as paired up students spread throughout the classrooms and halls to enjoy a story together.

Students from four KPS schools were represented at this year’s fourth annual An Evening of Fine Arts in the FVCC Arts and Technology building. Every act was a highlight with a range of musical and dance numbers from musicals and theater. The KEF would like to thank everyone who participated in this year’s event.
